I grew up in Hunter Mountain, New York. I was blessed. My parent's home was on a road about  one mile outside the small town and it faced Schoharie Creek and the vastness of the mountain range. The back of the house had a large hay field and the field was surrounded by forest and gorgeous evergreens. A classic babbling brook lined the side of the drive and ran off into the creek. I would love to sleep with the windows open at night so I could listen to the sounds of the water and hear the birds in the morning. I Ioved walking through the woods and finding ferns that I would transplant. There was a little wooden bridge over the brook where I could sit and play with the frogs. Almost everday , I would see some type of wild life including deer, bear, rabbits, and  skunks. The mountains still seduce me. I currently live in Florida and although I love the beaches and the beautiful birds, I am anxiously awaiting moving back to the Catskills which I call home. . When I am alone in nature, I feel the energy of creation flow through me and I can connect with all things beautiful which I find so healing. I highly recommend a trip to the country to heal your heart.
