      Health information to heal our hearts

Our hearts suffer as a result of stress and that stress is often the result of feeling oppressed and powerless. In order to obtain the best heart health physiologically, emotionally, and spiritually we all need to become aware of those things that can harm our hearts and cause chakra blockages there. In terms of meditation, when breathing into your heart chakra, hold the breath and feel an expansion in your chest. Hold the breathe slowly  until the point of stillness or where the breath feels suspended and then release the breath and breath in once again. Repeat the process until the heart chakra feels expanded and relaxed. 

 

Of course, as we almost all know, we need to eat an apporpriate diet, one that includes lots of fruits, vegtables, legumes, and one that is  low in salt. Certain doctors recommend a small amount of alcohol but if one has an alcohol abuse issue, don't use that data as an excuse to drink alcohol. Switch to water or tea. Eating whole grains and unbleached flour while reducing your intake of saturated fats and replacing them with olive oil is also beneficial. As mentioned, engage in exercise, even if that means only taking a short walk. Destress by engaging in activities that slow the breathing and avoid activities and people that place unnecessary stress on your heart. Always check with your physician regarding diet and exercise changes.

I want to add that I find studying universal phenomena , like the existence of black holes, as erotica for my heart. Its a turn on and its healthy!
